Archstone Oral and Facial Surgery is an independent practice owned entirely by Dr. Dela Rosa — no private equity firm, no hedge fund, no dental support organization (DSO), and no corporate parent. In a Bay Area where many oral surgery groups are investor-owned, that structure changes what happens in the chair:

• No patient quotas. No one pressures us to see more patients per day than we can treat well.
• No time caps on your visit. Your appointment takes the time your care requires.
• No corporate treatment plans. The surgeon who examines you decides what to recommend — and what not to.
• Referrals stay clinical. We work with your general dentist; where your care goes is a medical decision, not a network decision.
• The surgeon chooses the equipment and materials used in your care.

California agrees this matters: SB 351, effective January 1, 2026, now prohibits private equity groups from imposing patient quotas, restricting procedures, dictating diagnostics, or interfering in referral decisions at California dental practices. At Archstone, there has never been an investor to interfere — the owner is the surgeon treating you.
